HTA Group - Coventry

Location: Coventry, West Midlands
Reporting to: Technical Manager
Working Hours: Mon - Friday 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm (37.5 hours)

As a Quality Technician you will be responsible for performing inspections of finished company product and initiating corrective actions, and will be a key member of the Quality department.

Responsibilities
  • Liaising with production and inspection staff on quality issues
  • Implementing and Maintaining agreed quality procedures
  • Working within an ISO 9001 Management System
  • Reading Engineering drawings GD&T
  • To maintain component traceability systems
  • To carry out regular in-process and final inspection
  • To perform CMM Inspection and produce reports
  • To enter appropriate records into QA and production databases
  • Support and Developing Production part approval process (PPAP)
  • To support production in meeting delivery targets
  • Fully comply with company policies including Health and Safety at all times
  • Any other duties that may fit into the remit of this role as and when required

Responsibilities
  • Generate new business opportunities within your territory
  • Sourcing new customers, generating business at a senior level, and maintaining a high standard of
  • Responsible for monitoring and managing delivery lead times and the arrangement of sub contract support
  • Promote the products and services of WEC Group
  • Produce weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasting data
  • Reporting to the Sales Director at regular meetings to review KPI targets

Knowledge

    The candidate must have direct relevant experience within the Tube Laser Cutting Industry, and the necessary customer data base knowledge to grow sales.

Responsibilities

  • Set and operate the CNC flatbed laser cutting machines
  • Perform tasks as directed by the Line Manager
  • Operate the CNC flatbed laser cutting machine with an operating automated systems, and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators
  • Be able to interpret engineering drawings
  • Distinguish Material types including Aluminium, Steel, Stainless Steel
  • Load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Lift raw materials, final products and items packed for shipment manually or using hoist
  • Ensure adherence to agreed processes at all time
